An alternative world in the 1940s: humanity is threatened by the Neuroi, a mysterious life form. Standing against them are the Strike Witches – young witches who take to aerial combat with magical “Striker Units” strapped to their legs. Young Yoshika Miyafuji has enormous magical potential, but actually wants nothing to do with war.
Vol. 1 contains episodes 1 to 4: Yoshika joins the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, gets to know her comrades and has to prove herself against the Neuroi in her first sorties.
